Review:
With the Bowflex Ulimate 2 you can workout your chest, back, arms, shoulders, abdominals and legs to give you a total body workout. The nice thing is there are several different exercises per body part, so you will never get bored or give your body the time to adapt.
With over 95 exercises, you have all the exercises you need that you would get at your local gym but without the waiting for your turn on the equipment. This machine is geared towards people that either know their way around a gym, or for the person who loves to keep their workouts different every time.
With the use of Power rods, you have the convience of great resistance without the risks associated with free weights, especially if you train by yourself.
And if you are doing circuit type workouts, it is very quick and easy to change the resistance especially with the ‘No Cable Change Pulley System’.
While many people won’t go past the 310lbs on this machine, for the little extra that it costs to go to 410lbs, you might as well get it, rather than saying to yourself afterwards, ‘I should I have gotten the additional weight’.
Also, I’d recommend getting the ‘Power Rod Rejuvenator’ regardless of which Bowflex machine you purchase. They help keep your Power Rods in proper shape and neat when you’re not using them.
Another great advantage is the height of the Bowflex. It’s only 7ft tall. That means it fits into most homes and basements, unlike other universal ‘plate-weight’ machines.
Speaking of universal ‘plate-weight’ machines, because the Bowflex uses Power rods instead of iron plates, it makes it light and easy to move with it’s built in rollers when you’re not using it.
Conclusion: While price may be a deterrant for some, the Bowflex Ultimate 2 is an overall monster machine with pretty much everything you need in a home gym - highly recommended.
